SUNDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER

U13

Harrow Youth League Division 4

WEST DRAYTON 1-7 VENCEREMOS

On Sunday the new look U13s travelled to Hayes to play West Drayton in the first league game of the season. The U13s started brightly and were on the attack from the whistle and within the first 5 minutes  created 2 clear cut chances but Stefan and Wisdom were unable to convert. 10 mins in, the ball dropped just outside the 18 yard area and Sachin connected sweetly to put the ball into the top corner to open the scoring. This was quickly followed up with a great goal by Josh P, which was then followed up by a 1 on 1 chase which Wisdom won against the keeper to make it 3-0 at half time. The second half saw the U13s take total control of the game and they were playing some excellent one touch football and threatened to score everytime they attacked. Further goals were added by Josh P,  Josh,  Milan and Mustafa. The score could have very easily ended up in double figures had it not been for the keeper and some poor finishing. Great perfromance from the boys, Well done. Performance Rating 9.0

U12

Middlesex County FA U12 Youth Cup r1

ICKENHAM YOUTH 'C' 0-2 VENCEREMOS

A comfortable win for the V's. Having only trained twice and had a warm up friendly this was the boys first ever competitive fixture, and also a County Cup-tie. The V's started off strong and pushed the opposition back into their half for most of the first half. There were chances for Kayan, Sorab, Harry and Freddie but their keeper was strong and held his own. Eventually the deadlock was broken from a through ball played to Kayhan, about 5 minutes before half time and he calmly shot it into the back of the net.  A free kick was awarded about 25 yards out, up stepped Harry and pinged it into the top corner, 2-0. Ickenham had a couple of counter attacks that we had to be careful with, but the back three coped with what was thrown at them. The second half was all V's and it was all attack from the V's. Sorab, Micheal, Ahmed, Kayan, Freddie and Louis each had multiple chances, but again the Ickenham keeper kept the score down to 2. Good performance from the V's. Performance Rating 8.5
