 SUNDAY 20 JUNE

U15
Harrow Youth Football League Division 4
VENCEREMOS 0-4 ELITE LONDON WHITE
Disappointing result as the boys played well in a hard fought game. For most of the first half the V’s had most of the possession and created a lot of chances. Two freak goals from deflected shots meant the boys went in two down at half time. Second half was much the same and we battled hard against a very physical team. In the end we ran out of steam and let in another freak goal and then a unstoppable effort from their star midfielder. Result did not reflect what actually happened in the game, just the fact that they took their chances and we missed ours! PR: 8.0
 SUNDAY 13 JUNE

U12
Harrow Youth Football League Division 5
HANWELL TOWN GREEN 4-2 VENCEREMOS
Missing some key players today against a top side it was always going to be struggle however we started fantastic. Harry grabbing the first goal and Kaarlo soon following up with a second. Some very relaxed time keeping and 5mins deep into first half added time 🤔 and they got clawed a goal back. Second half, Thomas saved an excellent penalty but the heat from the weather and only having one sub, it all went against us. Boys got tired against an extremely physical and well stocked team and inevitably goals were conceded. A top effort today. PR: 7.0
 SUNDAY 06 JUNE

U16
Harrow Youth Football League Division 1
FOREST UTD RED 2-0 VENCEREMOS
Lost 2-0, but the referee has his work cut out to control a game. We played some lovely, creative football however a couple of defensive errors and lucky bounces gave them opportunities for their two goals, massively against the run of play. Then their behaviour disrupted the game in the second half, with a long delay for the sending-off incidents, and we had a couple of chances to get a goal back, but it wouldn’t quite fall for us. A season closer to forget, with three key players out injured (two more after the game!) PR: 7.5

U15
Harrow Youth Football League Division 4
VENCEREMOS 0-4 HANWELL TOWN BLUE
Battling performance against the clear cut winners of the division. The best in terms of desire and determination we have seen the boys play this year. Steady start to the game with both teams battling away, HTB went 1-0 up after about 15 minutes but the V's had two very close chances that skimmed the woodwork and if one of those had gone in it would have been a very different game. Just before half time their number 30 scores a free kick from about 30 yards out but the boys do not get disheartened and carried on pressing up the pitch and came very close again. The second half was a very even half with some strong challenges coming in from both sides. We had the better opportunities and should have been back in the game. With about 10 minutes to go we lost concentration at a corner and let in another. With that we slung everyone forward and just before the end got caught out. If we had taken our chances it would have been a very different game as we had rattled Hanwell who kept to their same team until the 4th goal went in. Reflecting after the game, if we had played with this intensity and tenacity in some of our other games, we would not have had as many draws and losses. Something very positive to build on for next season.
