VENCEREMOS 2-1 PITSHANGER WHITE
A real battle today, with a team who were physical, attack-minded and had plenty of individual quality. It was all about our defensive pe rformance, though, and how we worked so hard to hold Pitshanger at bay once we got in front after conceding that fluky early goal. Superb work from Jamel for our equaliser - keeping the ball alive, and starting a nice bit of quick passing that was finished strongly by Abi. The winner was a brilliant first time finish from Rashardo, on the end of an outstanding long pass from Santi (MotM for his intelligence and strength at left back). (This win secures third place in Div 1. A great result at the end of a difficult and disruptive season. PR: 7.5

CONCORDE RANGERS RED 2-4 VENCEREMOS
A much improved, physical Concorde side from our first encounter. Game was tight in the first half poised at 1-1. Second half Vs dominated and took a 3 goal lead, before Concorde pulled one back. Should have been more as we missed 2 penalties and had a goal disallowed. PR: 8.0

VENCEREMOS 1-3 AP STARS RED
Not a great day in the office, lost 3-1, poor first half performance conceding 3 soft goals meant it was an uphill struggle 2nd half. However, credit to the boys, with a much improved performance creating chance after chance, but only converting one of them with a great goal from Bradley. Tough loss to take as the game was there to be won. We go again, taking lessons from this game. PR: 6.0

HILLINGDON ABBOTTS WHITE 0-9 VENCEREMOS
Comfortable win for the boys, with a depleted squad through injury and isolation. First half was pretty much played in the Abbots half with the V's dominating play from the half way line moving the ball into the opposition box time after time. Shiraz and Kayhan put 2 away but I think one of the parents commented we had 15 chances that we missed in the first half! After half time the boys were threatened with press ups if they did not score at least a handful, they want to work. After a tactical swap of Ali for Shiraz (who did not have his shooting boots on today) Ali bagged himself a hat-trick in 7 minutes of the switch. Then it was wave after wave of V's pressure and the highlight of the game was Aiden smashing in a shot from about 25 yards out into the bottom corner after we let him come out on pitch to play right back. HILLINGDON YOUTH RED 4-4 VENCEREMOS
With Dhayan deputising for a missing Thomas in goal this week, we knew it was going to be anxiety provoking match. The game was fairly evenly poised but we were far from our best. Plenty of self inflicted mistakes and 3 very poor goals to concede. It seemed like we were determined to make things hard for ourselves. Going forward there could be no complaints with super goals from Owen continuing his fine form. Captain fantastic Harry made a super contribution as per usual and managed to get a deserved goal today. All things considered it was a good result. PR: 7.0

VENCEREMOS 3-1 ELITE LONDON RED
A battling performance against a very different team than the one we played at the Scrubs. 🙄
We started well and matched them for technical ability and build-up, but their quality and intense pressing shocked us and we sat way too deep. A sweet long range hit from Tom gave us the advantage, and Bradley doubled with a predator’s finish before half time. We rode our luck a bit at the start of the second half - and Max stepped up with a brilliant one-on-one save. They got one back with a borderline offside goal, and we had to fight our way through to the moment where Marley put the game out of reach with a beautiful long range curler. MotM Abi (again!) for his insane work rate and technical quality.

PITSHANGER RED 2-3 VENCEREMOS
A game that the V’s dominated but almost let the game get away from themselves! Commanding performance in the first half, with Christian putting us ahead after numerous attempts and misses. Just before half time a lapse of concentration and we let them run through the middle and slip it past the goal keeper. Second half it was more of the same attack after attack from the V’s, if it weren’t for their centre half and goal keeper it could have been double figures, eventually AB and Kayhan scored giving us a 2 goal lead. With about 10 minutes to go another slip in concentration and we let another in. We kept battling and there were more than half a dozen shots on goal. Really pleasing from a coaching point of view is that the boys listened to the instruction given at half time and changed their game to suit the opposition.

VENCEREMOS 14-0 CS RANGERS RED
Our biggest ever win (is it a club record? Not quite) and a terrific single-minded performance against poor opposition. (Although we did have to fight for our first goal and they had their chances). Great attitude, communication, team play, defensive solidity, willingness to take shots, the way we played the system to give us shape and balance. Big shout to MotM Stevie for being patient over limited match time and then putting in a great performance, including two goals. Outstanding finishing from five-goal Marley, and an impressive hat trick for the tireless Rashardo, who is getting better and better. Some of our football was a joy to watch, particularly Kye’s passing vision and creativity, and the way Abi and Tom ran the show in the centre. A second consecutive clean sheet for Max and the defence. Amazing, considering we were playing without one of our key defenders (Maxim). Also - our first home win of the season. 😂 PR: 9.0

BRENTHAM COLTS RED 5-2 VENCEREMOS
Started strong went ahead and late in the half Bentham equalised. Just after the restart Brentham went ahead and the V's equalised about 5 minutes later. We thought we went ahead as the ball was in the back of the net but went in through a hole in the net behind the crossbar! Goal disallowed! From then the chances were even but they were more clinical and took their chances as to us the boys not taking theirs. Disappointing result, but we go again next weekend! PR: 7.0

MAGIX RED 0-0 VENCEREMOS
A hard fought draw on a terrible pitch. We were a bit nervous in the first half and sat back, allowing them way too much time to build from the back. But in the second half, we switched to a more aggressive formation and pushed forward, showing better intensity, work rate and creativity. We stifled their forwards pretty well in the second half, and they will definitely be feeling they were lucky to get away with a draw. A commanding performance from Max and the back four - with a clean sheet. Some great defensive midfield play from Tom and MotM Abi - both put in an amazing shift, and were crucial to us coming away with the point. Strong hold-up/link-up play from Joshua and Alex, and Kye is really starting to build in confidence and turn his technical ability into chances. Fantastic energy from Jamel and Rashardo - never giving their defenders a second’s peace - and strong work from Bradley in a withdrawn forward role, which we can build on tactically. A terrific team performance, which showed how we absolutely belong in this division and with a run of home games against the lower half opponents coming up, we’re still in sight of our Top 3 target. 👏👏 PR: 8.5

VENCEREMOS 1-1 ICKENHAM YOUTH WHITE
Threw away the win, after dominating the game. Not taking our chances and a couple of lapses of concentration, one that led to their goal and the second which produced the save of the season from Aiden.
