ELITE LONDON WHITE 4-1 VENCEREMOS
A disappointing outcome considering we went 1-0 up with our first drive, a long throw into the box by Isaiah which was blasted into the net by Christian. Even game until the last 10 minutes of the first half, where in 4 occasions the long ball bounced over the midfield and their quick number 7 and 9 latched onto it and punished our defence. Much more resolve in the second half, where we won 12 corners but failed to hit the net. A bit more desire for the first / second ball and some firmer tackling from the boys and it could have led to a different outcome. PERFORMANCE RATING 7.0

VENCERMOS 2-2 HEADSTONE MANOR WHITE
Playing against one of the strongest teams in the league with a 100% record and high scoring wins, we knew the challenge ahead. The boys took the challenge head on and produced one of their best performances. The game started with a fast pace, a little too fast as we conceded the first goal. Defence played a high line and it looked possibly offside but nevertheless a goal conceded. The boys did not let this affect them and once they had their 10 minute settling in period, played off the park. The passing was excellent today, the players were spraying passes all over the pitch and we got our just desserts. A superb pass from midfield setting Kaarlo up for the equaliser. We had chance after chance whilst the defenders kept the opposition attacks in their pocket. An untimely goal conceded as we were comfortably on top of the game and a wake up call that there was still a job to be done. Alex smashing in the equaliser with what was his first touch on the pitch, corner and first time half volley straight in. We had chance after chance but couldn't put the match away. We've never seen the boys work as hard as they did today. Special mention to Harry who I felt played his best game ever in a Venceremos shirt! PERFORMANCE RATING 8.5

CS RANGERS RED 0-4 VENCEREMOS
First half was a bit of a brawl because of their tiny pitch, but we worked them out in the second half. A MotM performance from Alex, whose strength and work rate took the sting out of the game when they were fighting back, and a couple of crucial saves from Max (including a penalty). Great driven strike from Jamel, two solid headers from Tom and Alex (we never score headers!) and a nice ruthless predator goal from Josh. Great delivery and link-up play from Assist Hat-Trick Hero Sachin :-)
That’s two consecutive away clean sheets for Max and the defence (Luke and Maxim both immense in CB). 👏

VENCEREMOS 13-2 CONCORDE RANGERS RED
Dominated the game from the start, some very good football, played in the first half meant we went in 7-0 up at the break.
The start of the second half we let in 2 quick goals, but this week the V's regrouped and banged in 6 unanswered goals and could have have a handful more.

The boys didn't deserve to lose this one. Was a great match to watch. We missed so many chances, as we searched for the equaliser we conceded a penalty to put the game out of reach.

Made hard work of a game where we dominated in large parts, but failed to convert our chances. Defence played well and two clinical finishes won us the game. A few things to work on in training, but generally pleased with the performance.

VENCEREMOS 4-3 PITSHANGER RED
Made hard work of this game! In the first half the opposition came into our half 3 times and scored twice due to silly mistakes and we went in 2-0 down at half time! Bit more composure in the second have and we lead with 5 minutes to go 3-2... then a bit of ball watching in midfield and it was back at 3-3. With a less than a minute to go, we let them run at us again, some desperate defending the ball broke to our midfield, and with some quick passes we moved the ball to the edge of their area and with literally the last kick of the game Shiraz hit a left footer into the top corner....the the ref blew the final whistle....

Having had a long break from competitive football, back with a new look team and playing in a higher league, a stern test today.
The boys started with a bang and the team looked like they had played together for years. Kaarlo scoring the first with a well worked, hard fought effort. Utilising his speed to beat his man and connecting with a through ball from midfield to coolly slot it home. Second goal came from an excellent corner from Kaarlo, a wicked searching ball into the box missing all but Owen at the back post. 2 nil. Whether it was over confidence or a lack of concentration, I don't know, but 2 errors in succession allowed the opposition straight back into the match before half time. A quick shift in tactics and positions and back we went. Dominic now playing further up the pitch continued to make darting runs, the opposition were unable to stop him. Penalty. Kaarlo missing his initial shot follows the rebound up with another finish. Dominic hard work on the wing continues and he get his just rewards with 2 goals in succession and the final goal credited to Kaarlo goes in from a deflection direct from his corner. The team played an excellent game against a strong and organised team today. Kayden adapted to playing CB like a water off a ducks back. Harry and Sidney bossed the middle of the park and Thomas continues his fine development with some excellent saves.
A promising start, hopefully carried onwards and beyond. PERFORMANCE RATING 7.5
